Växelriktaren är främst för tre typer av applikationer där man omvandlar sol och vindenergi till växelström för 400/230V spänning:

- nätanslutna systems
- fristående system
- hybridsystem

Den mest kända och mest effektiva solcellsapplikationen är anslutning av solpaneler till elnätet via en växelriktare s.k. nätanslutna system

Denna typ av system fungerar som en miniatyrkraftverk.
När solenergiproduktionen är högre än fastighetens konsumtionen, matas överskottet av el till det allmänna nätet. Behovet av batterier elimineras helt.

Elbolagen betalar producenterna för denna extra elproduktion. Fristående system matar den producerade energin direkt till förbrukarna via växelriktaren utan att anslutas till det allmänna elnätet. Eventuellt kompletteras anläggningen med batterier för att kunna försörja lasten när produktionen är låg från matande källor.

Hybridsystem producerar el genom att använda flera energikällor växelvis: vindkraft, generatorer, solceller, batterier. I detta fall fungerar även "Soleil" växelriktaren som ett Energi distribueringssystem genom att övervaka olika källor och därmed kunna garantera en oavbruten och oberoende funktion.

"Soleil" växelriktaren är den dynamiska omvandlaren i alla typer av system och arbetar med maximal tillförlitlighet och den säkerhet som krävs. Den är också ständigt övervakat av systemet som kontinu erligt kontrollerar parametrarna för en korrekt funktion.

Light, compact and with an appealing design, the latest from SIAC is an inverter for network connection of photovoltaic plants characterised by its simplicity of installation and use.
The absence of a transformer reduces power loss and optimises yield, reducing dimensions, weight and moving parts subject to mechanical wear for utmost reliability over time and conversion efficiency up to 96.5%, the highest value in its category.

Innovative technologies and quality components, ample dimensioning margin compared to normal working conditions and extremely high reliability (Mean Time Between Failure > 100,000 hours) avoid periodic machine maintenance ensuring ample operating flexibility with any type of photovoltaic system and grid network.

Integrated protection against power surges in input and output and control and redundant protection devices optimise operational range and continuity.

The LCD display on the front panel shows the main data (power, energy produced and any anomalies) and permits other parameters to be selected.
The standard RS485 serial interface with MODBUS protocol remotely provides the same display information.

SOLEIL 10TL, which can be interfaced with the SIAC datalogger and with the TGS2 supervision system – which integrates a WEB server with LAN, ADSL or GPRS access – can access a client database to check equipment functionality as well as send e-mails or text messages to service personnel in case of malfunction.

The advanced graphics of the Web-server permits immediate section and status information identification. Three MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) devices ensure maximum power exploitation of the photovoltaic generator at any time and in any weather conditions. Multi MPPT technology makes the inverters even more flexible and facilitates installation configurations.

Three-phase Soleil solar inverter is available ranging from 10 to 500 kWp for Grid-connected or stand-alone applications.

Efficiency
The three-phase Soleil range offers the highest efficiency levels in the industry thanks to the innovative technologies utilized in design and manufacturing. Inverter power modules uses IGBT components and PWM principle with microprocessor control reaching a level in excess of 96% including LF transformer. These values have been "certified" by an independent authorised body to guarantee the most important parameters to be considered when planning a PV installation. The combined use of an MPPT system places Soleil inverter at the top of energy conversion systems.

Flexibility
All working parameters and electrical values are directly available on the 2x40 character LCD display or remotely through pc via the Ethernet. No power factor correction is required for the grid-connected application.

Safety
Soleil range is manufactured in accordance with the highest and strictest national and international standards.
The family is incorporating a LF isolating transformer to avoid the risk of DC current injection back to mains; moreover the automatic disconnecting from the grid in case of voltage/frequency out of preset range is ensured together with protection from internal failure, over voltage and over temperature.
The solar inverter is also equipped with an EMI filter on DC bus to avoid all possible noise generated from switching and with a Ground fault circuit control.

Communication interfaces
The following read-outs are available on the LCD display:
- PV array voltage, current and power
- Grid voltages, currents (R,S,T) and frequency
- Power to the Grid
- Internal temperature
- Working hours
- Inverter generated power
- Pv array temperature

Soleil solar inverter is equipped with RS485 and Modbus protocol plus OCSystem MDB software as standard.
An extensive Datalogging system providing monitoring, read-outs and alarm warnings via the Ethernet is also available together with the possibility of monitoring through telephone line (Teleglobal service).
